Facebook permissions for Yext
When Linking the Facebook platform to Yext, certain permissions are necessary to grant us the ability to sync the data and pull reviews [for analytics purposes]
Below I have listed the Technical permission and how the LM product uses them.
Permissions for Listings, Reviews, Social Posting, and Analytics
| Technical Permission Name | How Yello Uses the Permission | Details |
| manage_pages | Yello can manage your Facebook Pages | Allows Yello to sync location data to your Location Pages. In addition, allows Yello to display reviews from Facebook. |
| read_insights | Yello can access your Facebook Page and App Insights | Allows Yello to retrieve Facebook metrics and power Analytics insights. |
| pages_manage_cta | Yello can manage calls-to-action on your Facebook Pages | Allows Yello to sync the Call-to-Action button. |
| publish_actions | Yello can post to Facebook for you | Allows Yello to enable social posting as a user. |
| publish_pages | Yello can publish as the Facebook Pages you manage (e.g., your store Page) | Allows Yello to post on the Page and powers Review Response. |
If the request is not granted, we won't be able to do what is in the detail field.
The product updates the following for the customer by default:
- Listing information
- Bio/business description
- Pushes images that is provided for the customer [header images and other images]
